MONTFAIR HAS BEEN HOSTING WEDDINGS
& COMMUNITY EVENTS SINCE 1969.
Montfair Resort Farm's natural setting is perfect for a variety of group functions including retreats, reunions, wedding ceremonies & receptions, and group campouts.
The Rustic Lodge is a large, versatile space with a great fireplace, small kitchenette, restroom, wide-open floor space for dancing, and a wrap around deck overlooking our peaceful lake with a beautiful view of Pasture Fence Mountain. The lodge can be arranged to suit your event. We have hickory picnic tables or round tables and chairs may be rented for events seating up to 120 guests. You may also set up a tent on the adjacent lakefront for additional seating. Scenic hayrides around the property and bonfires on the lakefront may be included in your package.
WEDDINGS:
Montfair has been the ideal location for all types of weddings, from intimate, informal weddings to larger, family-oriented gatherings to more formal affairs and for those wanting to create an organic, eco-friendly wedding. It is a special place to share the most important event of your lives with family and friends. The fresh mountain air and relaxed atmosphere lends itself to friends and family spending time together. FAMILY REUNIONS:
Montfair's natural setting and warm hospitality foster an environment of family fun and relaxation. Guests can ramble off down the hiking trails, hop in the canoe or fish from the banks of the lake for brim and bass, read a complimentary copy of the Washington Post on our wrap around deck or play volleyball and horseshoes on the lake front. Families may prepare their own meals in the kitchenette or hire caterers of their own choice for the perfect family supper. Our proximity to the many family-friendly local attractions and local wineries make it especially fun to explore this unique area.
POPULAR EVENING BONFIRE PARTIES:
UVA organizations, Chuch groups, and local scouts have made Montfair Bonfire Parties & Hayrides a longtime favorite tradition. Bring your group, nestle in on a bed of hay for a scenic hayride around the property. Groups come back to the lodge for hot apple cider and roast marshmallows around the fire. A second favorite scenario is a cozy bonfire under a zenith of stars with a dance party in the lodge.
